To find the MAC address, you will need to run through a partial setup and then register the MAC before completing the setup process. Newer models do not list the MAC on the box or device. Important: You will need the MAC address of your Chromecast device to complete the registration process. Connecting them to a complex enterprise network requires more steps. If you can successfully connect to the Chromecast SSID in your WiFi settings, open the Google Home app and try setting up the device.Devices like the Google Chromecast are designed for home networks.

Note: If you previously set up your device and have not factory reset it (FDR) since it got kicked off of the network, look for the name of the Chromecast device that you assigned to it in the list of available networks on your mobile device.

Open the list of available Wi-Fi networks and look for an available network with the name 'ChromecastXXXX (where XXXX is a random number).

Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your mobile device.

The Recent Apps button should be accessible at nearly any time along the bottom of the screen along with the other buttons on the virtual task bar.

Swipe up on the app's preview to close it.
